Mary Gay, PhD, LPC, CPCS

Mary Gay, PhD, LPC, CPCS  is a Licensed Professional Counselor of GA in clinical practice since 1995 at the Atlanta North Center for Change in Roswell, which she co-founded in 2000. She received the Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor credential in 2013, (insert period) She has several years of experience supervising graduate interns and APC’s for licensure. She is also co-founder of the Southeastern Counselor Training Institute launched September 2019.

Dr. Gay works with individuals of all ages and also does play, family, and relationship therapy. Dr. Gay’s specialty areas include working with children and adults who have experienced developmental trauma and attachment difficulties across the lifespan, personality disorders, and addiction. She serves as the Evening IOP Coordinator at The Summit Wellness Group addiction treatment center. Dr. Gay taught graduate students for 12 years in a graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, where she practiced incorporating innovative and creative techniques in teaching a wide variety of coursework.

Chinwé Williams, PhD, LPC, CPCS

Chinwé Williams, PhD, LPC, CPCS is the founder of Meaningful Solutions Counseling & Consulting and co-founder of the Southeastern Counselor Training Institute. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Counselor Educator & Supervisor. She earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education & Practice from Georgia State University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from The University of Georgia.

Dr. Williams has several years of experience teaching and supervising graduate interns and APC’s for licensure. She received the Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS) credential and served as a full-time Professor for nine years in a graduate CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Williams currently teaches and supervises graduate students on a part-time basis. 

With over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families, Dr. Williams utilizes a warm, collaborative, and strength-based approach to counseling. She specializes in treating childhood and relational trauma and wounding. She is certified in EMDR therapy, a well-researched brain-based therapy for healing trauma.

Dr. Williams has written several articles and blogs in the areas of mental health, parenting, trauma, wellness, and self-worth. She provides therapy, consultation and training for individuals, groups, and organizations.

Dr. Tashika Holloway

Chinwe and Mary are proud to announce that we have added Dr. Tashika Holloway to the SCTI team.

As a counselor educator, Tashika understands the value of quality continuing education for counselors and other mental health professionals. With prior experience coordinating the CE program for a behavioral health system, providing presentations to other mental health professionals, delivering EAP workplace workshops, teaching at the university level, & providing supervision to new counselors, Tashika is excited to join SCTI as the CE coordinator to assist us in our growth!  Please join us in welcoming her.
